Position Summary
The quality of the educational services we offer are dependent on the quality of the Tutors we hire. We are seeking outstanding academic Tutors to help students K-8th Grade improve their math, reading, writing, test taking, thinking and time management skills. AsherDavid delivers significant academic progress through skills-based tutoring and homework support. Tutoring typically takes place during mid-afternoon, evening and weekend hours at the homes of our students.
We keep students focused on progress with motivational goal-setting and reward systems designed to promote self-confidence and a love for learning.
Responsibilities
+ Provide outstanding service to our clients
+ Create and maintain a motivational and enthusiastic learning environment
+ Deliver our proven curriculum through our proven differentiated instructional methods
+ Record student's improvement and track student's progress via Weekly Progress Reports
+ Administer and score academic assessments on a regular basis
Qualifications
+ Previous experience working with students; classroom experience a plus
+ Bachelor's Degree or enrolled in an accredited college with a minimum GPA of 3.50
+ Demonstrated ability to explain challenging concepts in an easily understood and motivating way
+ Effective communication skills with students
+ Ability to build positive relationships with students
+ Available to work at least 3 hours each week
+ Available to work late afternoons, evenings and/or weekends
+ Access to reliable transportation
+ Legally authorized to work in the USA
